BHU offers Ph.D. courses in different subjects like Bengali, English Hindi Sanskrit, Mathematics etc. To be eligible for these courses, candidates need to have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the relevant subject at postgraduate level. You can take online lectures and books for preparation. Like History of English Literature by David Daiches. You should Practise MCQs available in any book for NET preparation. Study literary criticism (Persons like Michel Foucault; theories like Structuralism, Post Structuralism, Post-Modernism, Neo-Colonialism etc. )
Language Studies (Philology, ELT etc. ).
