It's very nice to read about setting aims in life so early. Congratulations for this. For becoming IPS, one needs to clear civil service exam. For this eligibility is graduation in any subject. Hence I would advise you to choose a subject that you like most. This will help you in preparing for civil service exam later. Presently work hard and study to learn the subject and not to obtain higher marks.
Best wishes.

Vajiram
Sriram
Unique
ALS
Rau's
Key points to remember:
Make a checklist of what you expect from the institute
Ask questions like-
How are the providing the guidance?
Whats the course structure?
Who are the teachers?
What is the support they provide?
My views of the leading institutes:
Legacy: Vajiram
Mediocrity: Chanakya
Mini-Vajiram: Sriram
Heritage: Rau's
Better than Vajiram: ALS
Holistic learning: unique Shiksha

Once you get a seat, there will be a good briefing by the authorities about the advantages of each course and the freedom of selecting the units. The teachers at EFLU are mostly very student friendly. You could also take the help of senior students who are in MA and PhD.
Important issue, get a seat.

The eligibility for the same is that the candidate should have passed XII through examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of reserved category) in a single attempt. Admission is based on cut-offs.
The college has a great infrastructure. The crowd is very good since the students are ambitious and hard-working at the same. There are a lot of top-notch guest speakers who have come to our college and given us- the students- amazing talks on different topics, varying from entrepreneur

The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination under 10+2+3 system with English as one of the subjects.
Admission is on the basis of merit in 10+2.
Also, fraction of marks less than the requisite percentage would not be rounded off to the advantage of the candidate i.e. 32.9%, 39.9% and 49.9% shall not be rounded off to 33%, 40%, 50% etc.
Hope this helps.
