Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern for JEE Mains is as follows:

Mode of Examination:

The mode of examination would be as Computer Based Test (CBT).
Subjects:

The examination would be based on three subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Number of Papers:

There are two papers under JEE Mains: Paper 1 (for B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (for B.Arch/B.Planning).
Paper 1 is CBT based for B.E./B.Tech aspirants. 
For B.Arch/B.Planning there is both CBT and pen-paper based Paper 2. 
Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech

Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value based Question. 
Total No. of Questions: 90 (30 questions from each subject) 
Marking Scheme: 
For MCQs: +4 for correct answers, -1 for incorrect answers. 
For Numerical Value based Questions: +4 for correct answers; no negative marking for incorrect answers. 
Total Marks: 300 marks (100 marks per subject). 
Duration: 3 hours. 
Paper 2: B.Arch/B.Planning: 

Part 1: Mathematics (Objective type) 
Part 2: Aptitude Test (Objective type). 
Part 3: Drawing Test (B.Arch candidates only) - pen/pencil mode. 
Marking Scheme: Similar to Paper 1 (+4 for correct answers, minus marking for MCQ). 
Total Mark: 400. 
Duration: 3 hours, including Drawing Test. 
Language of Exam: 

Exam to be conducted in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. 
Eligibility Criteria: 

He/She should be passed/appearing for his/her 12th exam in the ongoing year. 
There is an upper limit of age while considering the JEE Mains eligibility, which is 25 years for the general category (with a relaxation for reserved categories). 
JEE Mains are the first stage of the Joint Entrance Examination, and the candidates who successfully complete the first phase can go to the second phase of JEE Advanced for seeking admission into the IITs.

The REVA Common Entrance Test (REVA CET) is a common entrance test conducted by REVA University for granting admissions into multiple Bachelor and Master courses of the Institute. REVA CET's exam pattern would typically be of objective-type questions mostly posed to assess the knowledge of the candidate concerning the respective subjects.

Subjects tested in general, would be relatively related to that under which the subject-wise that was chosen for the undergraduate program. An example would be scoring Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry for an engineering course, whereas a Business Administration course deals with subjects such as General Knowledge, English, and Mathematics. Generally, an approximately two-hour test is taken, but this might vary with the courses' number of questions.

The exam format for the postgraduate can be solely based on the specific subjects that are taught under that particular program. Also, the questions will be directed towards determining the individual proficiency of candidates in the important areas of their fields of study.
