Since getting into IIMs is for a class which has millions of students, the average student is probably a 6 pointer. Well, 15% of IIM Calcutta Batch of 2019 are 6 pointers or worse. So, yes, IIM Calcutta has a lot of average students considering only academics. But then, 15% of the batch at IIM Calcutta are exceptions.

For Indians students, CAT is the only option. You can try to get admission overseas if you have not taken a CAT exam or try next year.

Does Chartered Accountant CA articleship count as experience? For most schools, the pre-MBA experience that gets counted starts from the day you join a firm after getting your gradation degree till matriculation (I. e. start of the MBA programme). Technically, an intern is still a student working towards a degree.

Doing a regular MBA is more accepted and worth than doing a distance or correspondence MBA. MBA is not just a certificate course. It is a professional Degree. So, regular MBA has more value than a distance course.

Yes, it is true. Particular area of work is always an added advantage for every candidate. But, it doesn't mean that non-experienced don't get. There will be preference.
