In 1860, Florence Nightingale established her nursing school at St Thomas' Hospital in London. In 1991-1993, school becomes Nightingale College of Health after merging with Olive Haydon School of Midwifery and Thomas Guy and Lewisham School of Nursing. Nightingale College of Health becomes part of King's College London in 1993. In 2017, Cicely Saunders Institute merges with Faculty to create Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care.
