No, you are not eligible to apply for NSD right now. You need to be a graduate first. Also, in order to qualify for the course, you should have participated in at least 6 theatre productions. A working knowledge of Hindi and English language is a must.

To pursue a career in screenwriting, you need to be concrete about your goals and ambitions so that you can do justice to your course. After deciding, you can opt for various Diploma courses across the country with screenwriting as a specialisation. Popular institutes like Film and Television Institute of India, RK Films and Media Academy, Institute of Creative Excellence (ICE) are the best options to pursue a course in screenwriting.

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the course leading to the degree of Master of Arts (Film Studies) in University of Mumbai must have passed the examination for Bachelors from any discipline of this university or Bachelor's degree of another university recognised as equivalent thereto.
