Even though many companies in Finland still require that employees must know Finnish, there are many other companies that do not follow this stringent policy. IT and Technology based companies in Finland are paying less importance to Finnish skills these days. Those companies that have international clients and companies that are expanding to foreign markets are looking for fluent English speakers.

To apply for any of the slots in Aalto University in Finland, go to their website and find a programme of your choice, check for prerequisites. The majority of the Bachelor programmes are delivered in Finnish/Swedish and most of the Masters are taught in English. IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 92 + is needed, if the certificates themselves are missing, then English will be enough to help pass the course. However, students must note that their annual average must stay at 30 hours per week. This means that even if they are working full-time during their holidays, they need to balance it out with their working hours while their classes are in session. However, if a paid internship or Diploma work is a part of your course, it will not be counted in the weekly 30-hour limit.
