The duration of this course is 4 years. B.Sc. Food technology is an undergraduate course. The duration of this course is 3 years. B.Tech technology deals with the study of food Science. B.Sc. Food technology deals with the study of scientific principles involved in food production as well as preservation. B.Tech food technology has the highest salary and scope than B.Sc. Food technology. Dear aspirant, Nice to see you. Both the programmes carry different importance. It depends upon personal aptitude that decides which programme is better for her/him. B Tech in Food Technology has a better overall prospect as even without a master's course you can enter into the industry/job market whereas B.Sc. (Ag) graduates generally need M.Sc. (Ag) for higher positions. Both the graduates may take any competition for which the minimum prescribed qualification is graduation in any discipline. No you are not eligible for Hotel Management courses. However you can do the B.Tech (Food Technology) through lateral entry mode.

B.Sc. Food technology is a good course and out of these two, Ernakulam a more better option than Kottayam as Ernakulam provides more exposure and there is another option of TKM (Thangalkunju musaliar college) kollam is also a better option and Ernakulam is more of a city life and Kottayam you have to travel, so Ernakulam would be a better option.

Hello! Diya, You will need to score around 87-100 to get admission there. All the best. The cut-off varies every year, but according to the previous year cutoff, you need to get a rank under 60000-90000 in JEE Main to get admission in Pant Nagar University.
