forensic science is definitely rising. Today there are Forensic Science related
jobs in both the Government and Private Sector.Crime Branches, CBI, CID,

For getting admission into postgraduate course the aspirant has to be a graduate with Science or Arts subjects or can have Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, psychology or sociology.

No, it is not necessary to write your GATA for B.Sc (Honors) in forensic science. Eligibility criteria for B.Sc Honors in forensic science is as follows:
1) 10+2 with science or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70%
2) Some reputed colleges conduct their own entrance tests for admission.
