Your chances of getting this college at this rank seem to be difficult.
You got very high rank, do try next year or try for private colleges in India.
Good luck.

Admissions in NID, Gandhinagar is completely based on the entrance exam conducted by NID. One must clear the entrance exam and get an eligible rank. Though clearing class 12th exam is necessary as well.

It is very meagre possibility, but with 40 category rank you will land up to HNLU, RML or RGNUL.

Hi Nikita,
It seems quite certain you may get a seat. I'm not sure in the first round or not. Otherwise, NIFT Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore are also good. But as of for jewellery design NIFT, Gandhinagar stands first.
Good luck for counseling sessions!

DAIICT is no doubt the best of the two, the reason being that it offers ICT course ( a cumulative course of CS + IT + EC). Moreover, there is a lot of scope for further studies & better job and research opportunities in ICT field as compared to normal CS course offered in VIT. Besides the "coding culture" in DAIICT is the best after IIT's and BITS. One of the websites for competitive coding had conducted a study to find out the best colleges in the world in the field of competitive coding and DAIICT was ranked 30th position and the list did not contain VIT at all.
