As we know, admission to the M.Tech programmes offered at NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs is done via CCMT counselling based on GATE scores. The conducting body for CCMT counselling changes every year. After the announcement of the organising body, candidates can check the result of the seat allotment on the official website.
The CCMT eligibility is mentioned below: - Candidates must have a valid GATE score - A minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks must be acquired in the qualifying exam (For General and OBC). -
For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the eligibility is set at a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks.

Candidates who are interested in applying for M.Tech programmes at NITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs will have to apply via CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech). Those who want to apply for M.Tech programmes in IITs will have to apply through COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal). State and Private universities also have their own counselling processes based on GATE scores. To register for the GATE counselling, candidates have to visit the official website of CCMT. The counselling process comprises of the following steps -

- Fee payment
- Choice filling and locking.

IISc Bangalore will release the GATE 2024 scorecard on March 23. Candidates will be able to download their scorecard up to May 31 from the GATE 2024 official website. After May 31, candidates will need to pay INR 500 for downloading their scorecards. The facility to download GATE scorecard 2024 will be available up to December 31.
It is to be noted that the GATE exam scorecard is valid for three years following the announcement of the results. IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 was IISc Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Candidates had to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). GATE 2024 answer key will be released on February 21, 2024. The window to challenge the provisional answer key will open on February 22 and will be available till 25. The final answer key will be released along with the result. Candidates not satisfied with the GATE 2024 official answer key can submit their challenge. IISc Bangalore has released the GATE 2024 response sheet on February 16, 2024. GATE Answer key 2024 has been also released on February 19. The response sheets and GATE 2024 official answer key helps candidates calculate their probable score before the declaration of their GATE result. The last date for the GATE 2024 registration was October 20 with late fees. The last date for GATE 2024 registration without late fees was October 12. GATE 2024 application form was available online on the IISc Bangalore official website. GATE 2024 registration link is gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The registration window opened on August 30, 2023.
