Apart from ESE, GATE, and PSUs many exams are held to recruit in various organizations in India, such as -
1- Railway recruitment board (SSE & JE )- RRB takes exams for junior engineers and senior section engineers. Although it is a group C job after 12 to 13 years of experience with time-to-time promotions you will be promoted to a group A job equivalent to an ESE/IES officer.
2- SSC-JE: it is a group B job and it is conducted for the recruitments in various posts in various departments such as Military Engineering Services (MS). you will be subordinate to an ESE/IES officer.
3- NPCIL: A subsidiary of Bhabha Atomic Research Center. Every year they conduct their own exams for recruitment usually in the month of June and July.
4- SAIL: It also conducts its own exam for recruitment.
5- Visakhapatnam - It is one of the units of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).
6- DMRC/LMRC/NMRC/BMRC: It conducts exams for different technical posts.
7- AFCAT: This test is conducted by the IAF for the selection of officers in various branches of the Indian Air Force.
8- Some other PSUs are BEL, BSNL, HAL, MTNL, SCIL, RBI, EII, BARC, ECI, etc. Other than these exams State Engineering Services exams are conducted from time to time by different states.

The difference between a GATE score and GATE marks:
1- The difference between GATE marks and GATE scores is that GATE marks are calculated on a scale of 100, whereas GATE scores are calculated on a scale of 1000. The GATE Score is calculated on the basis of normalized marks and taking actual marks.
2- The GATE Score is widely accepted by the Public Sector Undertaking bodies as well as the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and National Indian Institutes of Technology at the time of admission into higher studies. Moreover, some foreign universities accept GATE scores as well.
3- The GATE marks are calculated on the basis of weightage on each ques and the number of ques. The total number of ques asked in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Written test is 65. There are 3 types of ques that are MCQs, Multiple Selected Questions, and NAT ques.
4- There is a total of 100 marks. The negative marks are only applicable to Multiple Choice Questions. One-third of the marks allocated to each MCQ will be deducted. GATE marks are the raw or actual marks that students received in the examination based on their performance.

Yes, you can get an IIT with a good GATE score. However, there is no set minimum Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE score for the IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology). Every year the GATE Cutoff Marks for each IIT institute are different. Considering the previous year's cutoff, the student must have a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering rank of 200 or less. Furthermore, students can enroll in the Indian Institutes of Technology if their rank is between 600 and 800. For example:
IIT Madaras GATE Cut off:
Computer Science and Engineering: 811 for GN, 721 for OBC, 542 for SC, 457 for ST, and 756 for EWS. Microelectronics and VLSI Design: 876 for GN, 762 for OBC, 685 for SC, 515 for ST, and 815 for EWS. IIT Delhi GATE Cut-Off:

1- Nationality: Indian and International students belonging to Singapore, Ethiopia, and UAE will be also eligible.
2- A student who is currently studying in the third or final years of any UG programme or has already completed any government-approved degree programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, and Arts. Programs: B.E. , B.Tech. , B.Pharma. , B.Arch. , B.Sc. (Research), B. S. , Pharma. D. (after 10+2), M. B. S. , B. D. S. , M.Sc. , M.A. , MCA or equivalent, Int. M.E. / M.Tech. (Post-B.Sc. ), Int. M.E. , M.Tech. , M.Pharma or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2), Int. M.Sc. , Int. B. S. /M. S. , Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. , B.Arch. ), B.Sc. (Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry), B.Sc. , B.A. , and B.Com.
3- GATE Exam Age Limit: No age limit. Options available after qualifying for the GATE exam:
1- Sponsorship: A good GATE score will make you eligible for a sponsorship programme where you can work with eminent government bodies such as INDIAN NAVY, DRDO, ISRO, BARC, Doordarshan, IAF, and Army, etc. It will continue for 2 years. It usually comes with a condition that you will work for those companies after completing your ME or M.Tech.
2- State Electricity Boards: Many state electricity boards directly collaborate with IITs today to recruit through the GATE exam. Some of the state electricity boards are WBSEDCL (West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited), PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited), and OPGEN (Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited).
3- Research positions are available through GATE in Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
4- Fellowship programme:
Many Iims run a 5-year FPM (fellowship programme in management). The programme offers a monthly stipend of around INR 30,000, 4 years of no tuition fees, and 9 months of free hostel facility. married students and Off-campus students will get an HRA. You will get a Ph.D. degree in management.
5- You may go for a master's in India or abroad or may go for Ph.D.
6- PSU Jobs are also available for GATE-qualified students. You can get a prestigious job at 200 plus PSUs such as AAI, JTO, HPCL, BHEL, IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, etc. with a good GATE score.
