The answer is both yes and no. It is possible to get admission at IIT Tirupati without GATE, but in other courses than MTech. A student can enter into IIT Tirupati via JEE Advanced or IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test) for BTech and MSc. So, if the dream is just to enter into IITs, there are various courses one can pursue except for MTech. However, admission to IIT Tirupati for the M.Tech programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. GATE COAP Round 6 Seat Allotment results have been released on Jun 23 by IIT Kharagpur for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The last date to view offers and take a decision for Round was Jun 25 (9 AM). Options available to candidates for Round 6 include 'Accept & Freeze' and 'Reject & Wait'. 

GATE COAP 2023 is to be conducted in five main and five additional rounds for admission to IITM.Techcourses. Till now COAP Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Round 4, Round 5 and Round 6 seat allotment results have been released by IIT Kharagpur on May 21, May 27 Jun 3, Jun 10, Jun 17 and Jun 23 respectively. IIT Kharagpur is the coordinating institute for GATE COAP 2023. Candidates must view the offers and make decisions in the given time frames by logging in through the COAP platform at coap.iitkgp.ac.in. Further, GATE COAP Round 7 is expected to release on Jun 28 (6 PM).
