As the number of candidates increasing every year. In the previous answer, Anup mentioned that in 2013, there was approximately 1000 candidates appeared. In 2018, 2248 candidates appeared in IIT JAM Geology and cutoff goes 37.47.

Best universities for Geology Honors are:
Panjab University
Rajasthan University
Kumao University
Maharishi Dayanand University
And the colleges under these universities are probably the best in my opinion.

Yes, you can. There are some universities offering M.Sc. Geology to those students who did not have Geology at B.Sc. level.

Hello,
I will love to answer you dear. For M.Sc. In Applied Geology you have to do B.Sc. In Geology with Geology as a Hons course. Please do it with proper percentage. Then for M.Sc. You have to appear JAM exam which is held every year in the month of feb. For pursuing M.Sc. In best colleges that will be a value addition to yourself as well as your future you have to rank within 50s in JAM exam. The best colleges are: IIT BOMBAY, IIT (ISM) DHANBAD, IIT KGP, IIT ROORKEE, IIT (BHU). In IIT (ISM) it is a 3 year course as you will get in one shot the degree of M.Sc. So, you can do after completing your Bachelor M.Sc Sc Sc in geology & eligibility of the Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geology)
The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to M.Sc Sc Sc. Geology is that the student must have a B.Sc (Hons. ) Degree with Geology as one of the major subjects in their undergraduate programme from any recognised university with around 50%- 60% marks in the main subject depending on the university a candidate is applying to.
