There are separate books available for different topics in JAM Geology. So, buying these books separately for each topic is not a good idea. I would suggest you to take help from study materials which covers the syllabus for all the topics in a single book. So, you don't have to carry 10-15 books with you. Yes, you can do M.Sc from environmental Science after B.Sc in earth Science, but if you do the post-graduation in same branch as you had in under graduation, that will be more beneficial for you.

Hi Karan,
No there are no reserved seats for the students of Mumbai University. There are only 30 seats and the government implied reservation system is there. Best of luck!

A pass in the two-year Intermediate Examination of A. P. or +2 Examination recognised as equivalent thereto and with an aggregate of 40% marks (pass percentage for SC &ST candidates) in the concerned Science subjects viz Physical Sciences and Mathematics group or Physical Sciences & Biological Sciences, as the case may be.

Admission will be according to Sequence number that has been provided with GMR. Rank 279 is very high. Though WBJEE and NEET counselling will take place before PUBDET counselling. So, there might be a chance, if candidates with better ranking wouldn't appear for the PUBDET counselling which is going to be held in Mid-July. If you don't have any reservation, I am sorry to say but there is no chance of getting into Geology, Presidency University this year.
