Yes, you can get admission on the basis of GMAT but then it will be only for insurance and retail you cannot apply for DM and IB.

GMAT is a test to get admission in management around the world. It is quite similar to CAT with less difficulty level of question. You should improve your vocabulary and read compression. Revised your under tenth mathematics at this stage of your preparation.

Dear Praveen,
You can work on the same while studying and if you still want to give yourself a gap. then i recommend you to join classes and aim for cracking CAT/SNAP/XAT. because since you taking gap so its better to make most of it.and the only way is to crack any of above mentioned entrances for a reputed college.
