GCET is the entrance test conducted by GMCH Chandigarh to shortlist applicants for BSc admission. The exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The syllabus for the exam may vary across the specialisations. The medium of GCET is English only. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. No, there is no provision for direct admission to the BSc courses offered at GMCH Chandigarh. As per the official information, the admission the BSc courses at the college is strictly based on the ranks obtained by the applicants in the GMCH Combined Entrance Test (GCET) conducted by the college. Further, candidates must be found fit after the medical examination conducted by the college once the candidates have been selected provisionally. They must also fulfil the specified eligibility criteria for BSc admission.

Government Medical College And Hospital, Chandigarh, famously known as GMCH, Chandigarh, offers a BSc under four specialisations. The college grants BSc admission to applicants who are eligible as per the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (from a regular school or National Institute of Open School) or a relevant Diploma/Vocational Course or any other equivalent qualifying examinations individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with an aggregate of at least 45% for General/General PwD and 40% for SC/SC PwD

To join at gmch 32 chandigarh for MD in pathology first the students should complete there MBBS degree from the recognized university and also the should should have 1 year rotating internship after their MBBS degree. The admission to the MD PATHOLOGY is mainly based on the performance in the national eligibility cum entrance test for postgraduate neet.the cutoff is based on the students eligible category.

As per the NEET PG round 3 cutoff for the General AI category, the closing ranks ranged between 2591 and 47902. GMCH Chandigarh NEET PG cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the MD and MS courses for round 3. The round 3 cutoff for the General AI category ranged from 52634 to 1105, wherein MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy was the toughest course for admission.
