Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
| Courses | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| M.Sc. | Candidates who have appeared for the final degree examination during 2021-22 and whose results are awaited shall also be eligible to apply. |
| M.A. | Candidates who have appeared for the final degree examination during 2021-22 and whose results are awaited shall also be eligible to apply. |
| B.Sc. | The candidates appearing for the HSC board examination or equivalent board examinations during 2021-22 and their results are awaited shall also be eligible to apply. |
| PG Diploma | Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline/stream have statistics as one of the courses are eligible to apply. |
| Ph.D. | Candidate must have Master's Degree in Economics/Agricultural Economics/Population Studies/Law and Economics/Public Policy/Sociology with at least 55 percent marks (50 percent for reserved category candidates i.e. SC/ST/OBC/VJNT/DTNT) from a recognised University/Institute with mentioned marks (50 percent for reserved category candidates i.e. VJNT/DTNT). |
