The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Bank and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. A candidate belonging to reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to General Category, is treated at par with a General category candidate. Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under unreserved (General) category is not adjusted against a reserved post. However their original category as registered in the online registration will remain unchanged.

Eligibility for Becoming an RRB Technician
Any technician who wishes to work as an RRB technician must possess educational qualifications, which may differ depending on the grade he/she wishes to apply for.
For example, graduates/Diploma holders in Physics, Electronics, Information Technology, etc., were eligible for Grade I positions.
The minimum qualification for this grade is matriculation coupled with ITI workshop certificate or apprenticeship for grade III.
And one should also satisfy age limits and medical standards fixed by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).

A wait list of up to 50% of vacancies (State-category wise) is maintained. Candidates are released from this waitlist on quarterly basis against non-joining and resignation out of the current batch only, subject to the candidates securing minimum qualifying marks as may be stipulated by the Bank for selection. This wait list is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of final result.

Merit list is drawn State wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) is placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.

Trained apprentices of SBI may be given weightage in the Main Examination by awarding 2.5% of the maximum marks (i.e. 5 marks out of 200 marks) as bonus marks. The bonus marks will be added to the aggregate score of the candidate to arrive at the final aggregate score. These bonus marks will be given only if an apprentice has completed the apprenticeship in SBI successfully on or before November 30, 2024 and conduct and performance is found to be satisfactory during the entire training period.

Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed. Section wise marks will not be maintained.
