The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts the RBI Grade B exam to recruit Grade B Officers in Combined Seniority Group (CSG) streams. The application fee for the RBI Grade B exam for General/OBC candidates is INR 850 while for SC/ST/PwD candidates, the fee is INR 100. Applicants are also required to pay 18 percent GST along with the application fee.

The starting basic pay is INR 19,900. Earlier, the basic pay was INR 13,075. SBI Clerk salary is decided by the government based on the pay commissions. The selection process comprises prelims and mains exams.

The basic salary of SBI Clerk is INR 17,900. After three years, basic salary is INR 20,900. Again, after three years, the minimum pay is INR 24,590. After certain period, the salary reaches upto INR 47,920.

The total starting emoluments given to the Junior Associates in the metro city such as Mumbai are around INR 29,000 per month, inclusive of DA and other allowances as per the current rate. Besides, two additional increments are given to newly recruited graduate Junior Associates. Earlier, the total starting emoluments for metro cities was INR 26,000. Allowances also vary depending on the place of posting. There are no sectional cut off in SBI PO prelims and mains exams. Candidates are only required to secure the overall cut off in the exam. Only those candidates are considered for the next round who secures the cut off marks. The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process.
