About Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021

Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 is a national level entrance exam which facilitates admission in to four year BSc nursing course. The exam will be conducted by the DGMS or the Directorate General of Medical Services (Indian Army) and only female candidates will be allowed to apply. The female candidates will appear to compete for 220 seats in total across India and the selection will be made strictly on the basis of their performance in the written examination followed by the personal interview. On February 17, 2021 DGMS has started accepting Indian Army BSc nursing application program.

Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 dates of the important events are announced by the Directorate General of Medical Services (DGMS). From application notification and the registration to issue of admit cards and exam and counselling, all the events are conducted tentatively in the months of November (previous year) to May (present year) according the exam schedule the conducting body follows every year. Who is eligible for Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021?

Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 eligibility criteria is decided by the conducting body Directorate General of Medical Services (DGMS) to determine the competency of the candidates to serve the Indian Army as a nurse. Below are the eligibility criteria for Indian Army BSc nursing 2021:

  • The candidate should be an Indian national
  • The female candidate should have cleared class 12 or equivalent examination (12 years of schooling) in her first attempt
  • She should have scored 50 percent in aggregate as a regular student from a recognized board, university or examination body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English subjects.
  • Those who are appearing in the final examination may also apply provisionally (if selected for the course, they will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with the required marks and subjects.
  • The candidate should be 17 years of age as on 30 September. Her date of birth should be in between 01 October 1995 and 30 September 2003 (both days inclusive).
  • The female candidates should have the minimum height of not less than 152 cm
  • For Gorkhas and candidates belonging to the North-Eastern region of India, Garhwal, and Kumaon, the minimum height is 148 cm.
  • The candidates have to appear for the X-Ray examination of the Chest and Ultra Sonography (USG) of pelvis and abdomen.

Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 Application form

Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 application are out on February 17, 2021. Candidates can apply till March 10, 2021. Candidates can refer to steps below to know the Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 application form filling process

Step 1: Registration

Candidates have to register themselves first by providing their basic details such as name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, mail ID, mobile number, etc.

Step 2: OTP verification

After submitting the basic details the authority will verify the contact details provided by the candidates in the registration stage by sending an OTP to their registered mail id and mobile number. The OTP is then required to be submitted on the login page to confirm the verification.

Step 3. Filling the application form

After the OTP confirmation process, to fill the application form the candidates have to login to their accounts by using their name and the password which they have created during the registration.  Candidates have to provide all their personal and academic details in the application form.

Step 4. Uploading of photo and signature

In this step candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specified format and specifications.

Step 5: Payment of application fee

The application process is only concluded after the payment of the application fee. After making payment a DU number (It is a reference number used for banking purposes) will be generated, candidates are required to keep this number safely with them.

Step 6: Choosing exam centre

Candidates have to select the exam centres on the basis of their convenience. It must be noted that exam centres will be allotted to aspirants on a first come first serve basis.

Indian Army BSc Nursing 2021 Result

Indian Army BSc nursing 2021 result will be announced online on the official website. The result will be declared in the form of merit list which will be published on the website joinindianarmy.nic.in in the downloadable PDF format. Candidate can check their score mentioned against their roll number.

After the result is declared, shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview and medical examination. On the basis of the performance of a candidate in all the rounds, written exam, personal interview and medical examination, a final merit list will be prepared. After satisfying all the medical and other physical prerequisites, the candidates will be given admission to their respective choice of college, out of the total six colleges of nursing institutes across India.
