To get admission in the AFMC BSc nursing programme, candidates must apply for the NEET UG exam. It is mandatory to appear for the NEET UG exam to be eligible for admission to the MNS course. The DGMS will conduct a separate aptitude test along with the interview and medical fitness test. But only those candidates who appear for the NEET UG exam will be able to apply for admission.

A NEET score of 250 marks does not define or guarantee that admission to the MNS college will not be granted. It depends on multiple factors, such as the candidate's category. The seat availability in the college till the last round of counselling. Aspirants are advised to apply for MNS admission rather than thinking about the low NEET score. Although an ideal score to aim for admission should be 500+ marks.

The Indian Army BSc Nursing cutoff is not synonymous with the NEET cutoff. They are different. Candidates can refer to the NEET cutoff scores, which are considered for admission to top nursing colleges. However, the MNS cutoff is released separately on the official website of DGMS for admission to six campuses in India.

The Indian Army BSc Nursing cutoff information will be displayed on joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates will be allowed to download the cutoff and refer to it for admission purposes. The cutoff scores will be provided in the admission prospectus as per the category of applicants willing to apply. Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the MNS course.

The final stage of the selection process for the Indian Army BSc nursing programme is the medical examination. After the interview, candidates must have a medical check-up at the assigned center on the same day. DGMS will post the center information and medical examination dates for selected candidates on the official website.

The notification for admission to the BSc Nursing/MNS programme for the academic year 2024–2028 will be made available in April 2024 by the Indian Army, either as MNS 2024 or BSc Nursing 2024. For the purpose of awarding admission to the BSc Nursing program, the selection committee, also known as the DGMS, or Directorate General of Medical Services (Indian Army), will administer the aptitude test and provide counseling. The Indian Army BSc Nursing counselling process does not take place. Only a screening test is conducted to allot seats to the shortlisted candidates to their preferred course and college location. At the time of MNS counselling, the physical document verification and fee payment will be done by the applicants.

The personal interview for the Indian Army BSc Nursing programme was conducted offline at the physical location which was intimated to the shortlisted candidates via email. Candidates appeared for the interview on the pre-designated time and slot to avoid confusion at the campus.
