Hi Santosh, The best way to prepare for UPSC is to start from your ncert books from class 6 to 12th mainly Science and social studies. Or you can join UPSC coaching classes at Delhi for better guidance. There are many coaching institutes in Delhi, but bajiram and ravi is the top of them. Best of luck.

It is not possible to become an IAS Officer right after completing 12th standard.
In order to become an IAS Officer, you must apply for CSE exam conducted by the UPSC. You must also crack the exam (preliminary, Mains and interview) in order to get selected for the training. The basic eligibility criteria required to appear for this exam is candidate must possess Graduate Degree from a recognized University/Institute.
So technically, class 12th passed students can't appear for this exam right after class 12th. After completing class 12th, they must complete Graduation first. After completing Graduation programme successfully, they may ta

You have to pursue you graduation degree in any of the branch or course of degree education and then attend IAS exam. Remember that BA is recommended for IAS as per most of the students. Good luck.

No, specific degree is recommended for IAS, but if you choose BA. As you degree programme, then you will get a lot of free time you prepare for IAS examinations. Good luck.
