Yes, you can give multiple attempts of IAS exam. The number of attempts depends on the category you belong to:
General Category: 6 attempts till 32 years of age.
OBC: 9 attempts till 35 years of age.
SC/ST: unlimited attempts till 37 years of age.

Age limit:
The candidates should be between 19 and 23 years as on July 1, 2015.
Educational qualification:
The candidates should be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university. The candidates should have obtained at least 60 per cent marks in the same. Also, the candidates should have had Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level. or the candidates should possess a four-year BE/ B.Tech degree from a recognised university with 60 per cent marks.
Physical Standards:
Height and Weight: Minimum height: 162.5 cms with correlated weight, Leg Length: Min - 99 cms.
Max - 120 cms. Thigh Length: Max - 64 cms. Sitting He
