Hi Sahil,
Lieutenant is a junior commissioned officer in armed forces. The Indian armed forces consist of three professional uniformed services: the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. I would suggest you to decide which armed services you want to get into. For Indian Army, you can opt for any stream in 10+2 but to appear for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force examination, you need to have Physics and Mathematics as your main subjects.

Hello Veda,
There are different ways of joining IAF. But joining it does not mean that you will become an aeronautical engineer. You can also appear for the NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC. After graduation, you can appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC. And if you are already an engineer, then you can join an engineering branch of IAF.
