Dear Rahul,
You will have to give CAT exam, only then you will get to know your chances of getting selected for IIM, Ahemdabad. For clearing CAT, you need to be smart, not knowledgeable, and according to me, Indian Army officers are always more than smart. There were many army officers who joined the army and continued their studies too and retired from higher posts. Solve more and more CAT papers and do give IQ tests (Standford Binet or Culture ), giving IQ tests will help you overcome all your fears.

Although M.Sc would be the viable choice after completing graduation in Forensic science, you should pursue a career which you want to pursue. There are pros and cons of each career and you should carefully weigh your options, and decide on a career which you feel comfortable with. If you feel SSC is the right option, you should option for SSC. Good Luck!!
