No matter what degree you're pursuing, you should be a graduate and should have scored the required marks then you will be eligible to apply for govt. jobs.

Well, for Loco pilot you need to have minimum degree, that's enough. If you want to go as a technician, you go to mechanical stream or Electrical or Electronics engineering.
