Government Polytechnic College, Rohru has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| After 10th Diploma | Candidate must have passed class 10th and secured at least 35% marks from a recognised Board/University or its equivalent. |
| D.Pharma | Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination (science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics from a recognised board. Candidate with 2 years Higher Secondary Education Board Exam and (Science Academic stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of Higher Secondary Education Board are also eligible. Candidate with Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above examination are also eligible. Provisional admission not allowed. |
