A career after mass communication requires commitment, dedication and sacrifice of personal time for the sake of staying on front or top, particularly in news industry. A journalist may have to work day in and day out to get breaking news. Similarly, media professionals who are in entertainment or film making need to work with passion which may come at the cost of their personal life. You can do graphic designing after you complete your class 12. I think it is better if you choose either film or graphic designing as your career.

First of all, to become a freelancer you need a solid and concrete portfolio (a showcase of your work). Then you need to get it uploaded on the websites which provide hiring of freelancers by clients. Freelancing in graphic design includes Brochures, posters, logos, monograms, advertisements, etc. Mostly. Remember, one must not be confused with graphic designing and motion graphics. Since, these are two entirely different fields.

First, figure out your interest and priority. Filmmaking is a career wherein the success comes much later in life. A lot of hard work and patience is required to have a career in filmmaking. There is no financial security or guarantee in this field. Graphic design, on the other hand, gives you a constant career with the constant financial flow.
