There are many extracurricular activities and clubs available for students IBS.

In order to keep up with the rigorous curriculum and demanding workload at IBS, it is necessary that students are able to look after their health and let out steam once in a while. In order to transform students into healthy managers, with all-round development, IBS provides a multitude of opportunities for sports and other extracurricular activities.

There is much more to learn outside the classroom and lot of chances for interactions with fellow students. Every student on campus leaves not just with a degree but also with friendships and bonds that last a lifetime. The student community at IBS is truly diverse; the students come from different states, social and cultural backgrounds, and walks of life. As they become a part of the IBS community, they get an unparalleled exposure to different cultures, languages and ways of living.Several student activities are directed towards extending the classroom learning experience. Such activities include organizing seminars on contemporary management issues, publishing in-house magazines, organizing guest lectures, and organizing and participating in inter-business school competitions.

Similarly, academic clubs and committees provide a platform for students to make management a part of their daily lives. Industry leaders are invited to the clubs to deliver talks on contemporary issues. The clubs and committees organize quizzes and debates, and meet frequently to discuss new ideas, issues, and developments in their areas of interest.

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon (GLIM) hosts a number of technical events throughout the year. These events are both inter-college as well as within the institute, and include everything from case studies and business ideas to hackathons and coding competitions. All events are managed by various student clubs, under the able guidance of the faculty.

Here are some of the technical events that happen at GLIM:

• Hackathon: A hackathon is a coding competition where teams of students work together to solve a problem or build a product. The hackathons at GLIM are open to students from all disciplines and are a great way to learn new skills and meet new people.
• Coding Competition: A coding competition is a contest where students compete to write the best code. The coding competitions at GLIM are open to students from all levels of experience and are a great way to test your skills and learn from others.
   
• Case Study Competition: A case study competition is a contest where students are given a business case and asked to develop a solution. The case study competitions at GLIM are open to students from all disciplines and are a great way to apply your knowledge to real-world problems.
   
• Tech Fest: Tech Fest is an annual event that showcases the technical talent of GLIM students. The event features a variety of events, including hackathons, coding competitions, case study competitions, and business idea competitions.
   

The hostel fees at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon (GLIM) are as follows:

The hostel fee includes accommodation, meals, laundry, and internet access. The hostel is located on the GLIM campus and is fully furnished. The hostel has a variety of amenities, including a library, a gym, a swimming pool, and a recreation room.

The hostel fee is payable in two installments. The first installment is due on admission and the second installment is due in the middle of the first semester.

Students who are unable to pay the full hostel fee in one installment can opt for a payment plan. The payment plan is subject to the approval of the university.

   The campus placement process for the PGDM Class of 2023, witnessed an excellent season with 100% students placed. The season witnessed participation from marquee recruiters including Deloitte, Bank of America, Cognizant, Darwinbox, Droom, Genpact, Infosys, HDFC, Hyundai, Invesco, Hexaware, KPMG, Moody’s, Sify, TATA Technologies, etc.,  to name a few. The highlight of the season was participation from over 20 new recruiters including Crisil,  DDB Mudra Group, Darashaw, Havells, Hector Beverages (PaperBoat), HCL, Tata Capital,  and Vedanta Resources.

   The average CTC offered to the Class of 2023 increased by 10% to INR 11.6 Lakhs p.a. while the highest domestic CTC increased by 20% to INR 21.5 Lakhs p.a offered by a major mining company.

   Consulting (31%) and IT/ITES (31%) were the largest recruiting sectors followed by BFSI (20%). Remaining offers were made across various sectors including Mining, Analytics, Automobile, Manufacturing, Marketing & Advertising, and Market Research. Finance  was the dominant function of recruitment in which 25% of the students received offers across various domains including Risk & Financial Advisory, Research & Investment Services, Mortgage Banking, Consulting, Credit Appraisal, Process Management and Investment Compliance. This was followed by roles in Sales & Marketing (19%), Analytics (18%), Business Consulting (14%). Remaining offers were made in various diverse areas including Strategy Consulting, Digital Consulting, Digital Operations, General Management, and Product Management.
