Himachal Pradesh University is recognised by UGC and NAAC. Also, HPU has a total of 7 institutes which include the Department of Evening Studies, HPU Business School, University Institute of Technology, HPU College of Business Studies, University Institute of Legal Studies, Institute of Tribal Studies, Institute of Vocational Studies. Since, it is a public state university, the programme fee is very less.

Himachal Pradesh University reserves some seats for SC/ ST candidates of Himachal domicile. Below is the seat reservation criteria:

The total tuition fee for Himachal Pradesh University BA ranges between INR 1,800 and INR 78,000. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. The BA fee includes admission fee, annual charges, monthly charges, migration fee, registration fee, etc. Once the candidates are shortlisted, they need to pay a programme fee to confirm their seat in the university. HPU admission to BA programme is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Once candidates register for the BA programme, HPU releases the merit list on the official website of the university. The merit list is prepared based on the marks of candidates in the qualifying exam.
Aspirants with their names in the merit list and required to confirm their admission by paying the course fee. Against the release of every merit list, selected candidates need to confirm their admission.
