No, ATMA is not compulsory for taking admission in the MBA/PGDM Hospitality Management course in Ahmedabad Institute of Hospitality Management. The institute accepts other national level exams as well like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT and its own entrance exam called the AIHM Entrance Test. Though giving the ATMA exam is not a compulsion, the institute does accept it's score.

While, some institutions conduct their own entrance exams, like IIHM with their eCHAT exam, which is online. Other institutions may use national-level or state-level exams like NCHMCT JEE or MAH BHMCT CET, which can be offline.

The selection criteria for BA Hospitality Management course can be both, Merit and Entrance-Based or a combination, depending upon the university.

Many colleges consider 10+2 scores as the primary basis for merit based admissions. However, some institutions, particularly those with a higher reputation, may also conduct entrance exams to further filter candidates.
