To become a Chef in India, you would primarily need to attend a culinary school/institute to obtain the Bachelor's Degree in Catering Technology & Culinary Arts, the reason I'm saying culinary school is because a Hotel Management College/Institute would make you study all 4 Core Depts., and that at the end of the course there is no guarantee that you will get placements into 5 Star Hotels as a chef because when companies and Hotels come to recruit at a Hotel Management Institute they come prepared for all depts and generally do not take the students choice preference for the core dept selection, whereas in a Culinary Arts Institute, Ho

Interested candidates can apply online/offline with the required information. Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Candidate having completed graduation from a recognized institute/ university are also eligible.
Admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2.

The eligibility criteria for Hotel management course is 10+2. Either, you appear for class 12th, as external candidate and give exam. You can pass class 12th in any stream. Best wishes.
