But, there is a chance, if you talk with the higher authorities of Chandigarh University after or before your exam.

If you have such a rank, then I would suggest you get into any NIT, as their prestige and name is much above than any private college and you will get optimum exposure.

Through NCHM JEE, 55 institutes of hotel management including 21 Central, 19 State Government and 15 private institutes are offering as many as 8124 seats for UG programmes.

Dear,
Both the programme have their own value and struggle factor specially in India in terms of opportunity and salary.
According to me you should plan for abroad for better opportunity and you can plan for settlement abroad too.

Travel & tourism is a specialised course. After class 12th, if you stick on to a particular specialization you cannot change to other domain. So it is suggested that you do not to go with a particular specialisation in any management related course, better you can do BBA for good prospect and ample opportunity after BBA.

Eligibility depends on type of Hotel Management course which you wish to pursue and details of some courses is stated below: 

Diploma Class 10th pass from a recognised board with minimum 40% marks.

Bachelors Degree: Class 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks.

Post-graduation degree: Bachelors degree from a recognised university with at least 45% marks. Graduate & PG programs may also require you to appear in entrance exams such as NCHMCT, AIMA UGAT, E-CHAT, etc.
