As per last year's cut off, chances are there. Rest will be cleared only after the counselling starts. You may be called in first counselling.

If you have such a rank, then I would suggest you get into any NIT, as their prestige and name is much above than any private college and you will get optimum exposure.

Both the programme have their own value and struggle factor specially in India in terms of opportunity and salary.
According to me you should plan for abroad for better opportunity and you can plan for settlement abroad too.
