The students can go to these universities through an international credit transfer programme, semester abroad, for summer school or for a degree abroad. LPU has a separate Division of International affairs which facilitates this. Credit Transfer programme: International credit transfer programs allow students to move to a foreign partner university after spending generally half of the programme duration at LPU. In such a case a student gets the final degree from the foreign partner university. It is extremely cost-effective because you start the degree at LPU and save by paying only two-year fees or one-year fees of the foreign partner university. Semester Exchange programme: In the semester exchange programme, students get an opportunity to study a full semester at our partner universities around the world and finish their degree at LPU. From living in a foreign country with a different cultural setting to staying with foreigners, a semester abroad is like getting an international education in 5 months. Summer/Winter Study Abroad programme: These programs generally happen in the summer vacations or winter vacations of the academic year. A summer/winter study programme offers courses, both academic and non-academic. Students can have the best of both worlds, international exposure without disturbing their academic schedule. The students can join an internship by sitting in the placement drive organized by LPU or they can organize at their own end. The students can work in banks (Private or Public), the Pvt sector or Public Ltd. companies, etc. The students have done an internship in Companies like IDBI, FUTURE GENERAL INSURANCE Company, COHO, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Karvy stockbroking, Decathlon Sports Ltd; etc. The best thing about LPU about placement is that they provide placement classes to all the students from the first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visit for the recruitment of students since a pre-final year.
