1) The requirement for getting admitted into ihm is through the all india entrance examination, and currently the application for the exam is going on.
2)From every top ihm you will be getting good campus placements not only in hotels, in many other retail sectors also.

For getting admitted in top most IHM, you must need a rank above 2000 in IH-Bangalore. But, in Mumbai and Delhi, you must need a rank above 500.

It is always better to go ahead in the field that interests you rather than taking up something that would be in sync with your graduation. Therefore, if marketing interests you, I would go ahead and take up that as a specialization. Likewise for any other area.

1. There is no age bar for Distance Courses.
2. The placements for distance course is not available mostly. It is primarily done for qualification or eligibility.
3. It is very simple to pursue. Generally the procedure for each institute differs but basically you register for course and get the study material. You will have to do self-study, and keep in touch with institute. You will be notified of exam and issued an Admit Card. You will give exams as you give regular exams.
