Hotel Management

Hi,
1. Hotel management is a graduation course in itself. There have been multiple instances where candidates have taken admission in Hotel Management even after completing other graduation courses like B.Com, BA, etc.
2. The base requirement for taking admission in hotel management is 12th or equivalent.
3. The course will either be a 4-year degree under AICTE or a 3-year degree under UGC.
(I personally feel that going for a 3-year course is much better as there are few advantages such as you can save 1 year's fees since the course is for 3 years instead of 4, you can get in to the job market 1 year earlier than your competitors in the 4-year degree program, there is no requirement of any CET, etc.)
4. Hotel management is available at a PG level as well. But, unfortunately, graduation in hotel management is a pre-requisite to take admission. You can go ahead in many distance education form open universities like YCMOU, IGNOU, Alagappa, Annamalai, etc. but it isn't recommended as this is a practical oriented line and distance education doesn't cover that.
