Going for a PG course is always a good option to upgrade your knowledge and skills.
In regards to specialisation, that is something you should do based on your strengths and not based on the views of others.

Hi,
1. Hotel management is a graduation course in itself. There have been multiple instances where candidates have taken admission in Hotel Management even after completing other graduation courses like B.Com, BA, etc.
2. The base requirement for taking admission in hotel management is 12th or equivalent.
3. The course will either be a 4-year degree under AICTE or a 3-year degree under UGC.
(I personally feel that going for a 3-year course is much better as there are few advantages such as you can save 1 year's fees since the course is for 3 years instead of 4, you can get in to the job market 1 year earlier than your competitors in the

Hi,
He should take commerce with maths if his foundation is good in maths, otherwise commerce without maths will do because if in future his mind would change as in career option than he can enter into other good fields too, related to management, commerce, economics or maths.
Even hotel management programme can be opted after any stream of 11th and 12th.

You need to firstly pursue and complete your 12th. This is the basic eligibility to pursue HM in the future.
