Chefs as a career are the most skilled cooks in a professional kitchen. Their tasks include preparing food, managing the cooking staff, training the cooking staff and ordering food supplies.
This career often requires professionals to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Because every meal is an evaluation of their skills, chefs can find the job to be quite stressful at times. You can apply in NCHMCT which is a national level HM exam after 12th and requires 50% in 12th. This is a job that is both physically and mentally demanding, where you are expected to give 110%, day in and day out. Good efforts are seldom appreciated, but a mistake is highlighted in magnifying proportions and in some rare cases can even be grounds for dismissal. Cooking is just one small aspect of a chef's job. Running a full fledged commercial kitchen requires dedication, patience and exceptional mental strength (not to mention being extremely competent and up to date about the happenings in the culinary world). Graduate & PG programs may also require you to appear in entrance exams such as NCHMCT,AIMA UGAT, E-CHAT etc.
