With these 3 years of training, you will be more than qualified to work in the QSR industry. If at a later time, you want to go into fine dining or management, such a degree will be a good foundation. hotel management is wise one, not only in india it have options on abroad as well, and it needs strong knowledge on the selected subjects while HR is a major specialization now, if you want to start your own organisation or work on hr executives later turn into managers level, HR is the best one, and decent one while coming to salaries both will get equal at initial but rankings, postings, criteria is different.
so think which is better option for you to choose, once chosen cannot be edited back, take an advice from the college and friends, read online articles on both subjects to get an idea

as you know a person can excel in every feild if he has true desire and dedication to achieve it.
These days both of them are gaining the attention of youth as they are good enough.
but hotel management provides you more security in terms of salary ,job and good placement as you have asked. whereas event management may be little bit occasional but due to the lavish ceremonies , shows or functions this has also gained importance.
as hotel management is much broader than ev. mang. it is more flexible and you have several options in it. so take your time and choose the one which suites you.
