Bank preference once submitted cannot be changed for various IBPS exams. The decision of IBPS in provisional allotment of organisation shall be final and binding upon the selected candidates. Applicants are required to add their preferences of banks while filling the application form. The preferences of banks should be exercised properly by candidates. Based on the merit-cum-preference, candidates are allotted to any of the participating banks.

The role of IBPS comes to end after the provisional allotment. The offer of appointment is done by the bank/organisation to which candidates has been provisionally allotted. The candidates may contact the allottee bank for appointment. It is better to contact the allotted bank to know regarding the appointment.
