It is not hard to get into Icahn School of medicine. Any average student can get into Icahn School of Medicine all he needs to do is pass the english proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS passing the eligibility criteria of each tests. The application fees is not needed. The institute welcomes the students from all the countries. The documents needed are SOP, LOR and CV. The money required to study at the MDS course is INR 40 Lakh and the money required to study at MS course is INR 26 Lakh to INR 34 lakh.

The job opportunities after doing MS from Icahn School of Medicine are many. The university has many alumnis including Stuart A. Aaronson (Renowned cancer biologist), Jacob M. Appel (Novelist), Thomas C. Chalmers (Developed the meta-analysis), Kenneth L. Davis (CEO of Sinai Medical Centre), Sandra Fong (Olympic sport shooter), Stanley E. Gitlow (Former President of ASAM), Eric M. Genden (Performed first successful jaw transplant), and Steven J. Burakoff (Cancer specialist). So these can be the areas of the job opportunities.

The money in Indian rupees to study at Icahn School of Medicine is different for courses. The cost of the MS course is INR 26 to INR 34.29 lakh the cost of MDS course is INR 40.05 lakh the cost of MPh course is INR 19.32 lakh. These costs are slightly high when compared to costs of the other colleges. However, these costs can also be met by availing different types of scholarships. And it is worth paying the money as the college has high rank among the US universities.

Life on campus at Icahn School of Medicine is better than staying at off campus because :

  1. Students will have a greater sense of community.
  2. The cost involved in the accomodation is less.
  3. The chances of getting higher GPA is more likely.

The only disadvantage would be the lack of freedom and less space available to the students.
