The ICSE board an examination is quite different in terms of syllabus and pattern then Central board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It covers a vast variety of syllabus, each topic is asked in detail in the examination. As per the difficulty level of the paper, it depends year to year however, it is usually moderate to difficult in terms of level as said by the experts.

On December 8, 2023, the official website, cisce.org, hosted the announcement of the ICSE 10th time table 2024 by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The pen and paper ICSE board exams were administered between February 21 and March 28, 2024. The ICSE Class 10 admit card for the 2026 session will be made available in February 2026. As soon as the admit cards are released, students can pick them up from the school administration.Students who are qualified to sit for the ICSE Class 10 board exams can get their admission cards from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. ICSE is very tough whereas CBSE is a lot easier than ICSE. ICSE students definitely will have higher intellectual than CBSE students. So, till class 10th go for ICSE. In class 12th, you can switch to CBSE if you are planning for JEE, so you don't have to focus on class 12th as the CBSE syllabus is very easy. You can completely focus on JEE needs.

No, it is not mandatory to have maths subject in your 12th grade ICSE or any other boards.And, still you can study BCom degree, at St. Xavier's college or any other college you set your sights on.There's a general B.Com that covers all the commerce basics, or you can pick a specialised B.Com to dive deeper into something specific like accounting or marketing.
