When appearing for the ICSE 10th board exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator. Students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exams, however, they must know that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.

The "best of 5 rule" in ICSE refers to the fact that the best five marks obtained by a student in any subject in the ICSE examination will be considered for calculation of the final result. This rule applies to all subjects, including languages and humanities.

This means that students should focus on performing well in the subjects they are strong in, as their best five marks will be considered.

The "best of 5 rule" can affect exam preparation in several ways. For example, students may need to prioritize their study time based on their strengths and weaknesses, and focus more on the subjects they are weaker in.

Additionally, students may

In case a student fails the ICSE board exam, he/she will be allowed to appear for the improvement exam in only two subjects. If the marks meets the minimum criteria, he/she will be promoted else they will have to repeat an year.

Students are advised to go through the ICSE syllabus and know the ICSE exam pattern well. They must solve and practice the ICSE sample papers and previous years question papers to get familiar with the marking scheme, types of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of exam and more.
