Advantages
You get NIT Kurukshetra at a much lower rank and get taught by their faculty. This year It started at 9k and closed at 20k for CS, other branches (IT, ECE) closed at 25k for General Category.
There are only 30 seats in each branch, so no need to worry about placements. As there are only 14 seats for general category, I expect the closing rank of CS this year to be at about 12k for general category as you cannot get CS branch at that rank at any good college you should probably opt for this one

but if 19k is your OBC rank, then I am sorry to say but it will not help you to get into IIITs because your rank in OBC category is 19k, so your general rank is somewhere in 1 lakhs.

Check out the link josaa.nic.in where in you will find the opening and closing ranks of nits through which you can confirm your college and branch check for the top 10 NITs which are decent.
