The topics given under General Aptitude in IIIT PGEE syllabus are basic aptitude, logical reasoning and basic questions on computers and mathematics. Candidates must prepare basic questions about these subjects in order to score a good mark in this section. The candidtes must keep pratising the topics included in General Aptitute to score well in the IIIITH PGEE exam.

The subjects that are incorporated in IIITH PGEE 2025 syllabus are General Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Computer Knowledge and Mathematics. There will also be a subject paper. Subject paper like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Civil Engineering. The question paper will include 2 parts.
Paper I - Basic Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Computer Knowledge and Mathematics
Paper II - Subject Paper (according to the course selected by the candidates)

At IIIT Agartala, students actively participate in all co-curricular activities like games and sports, techno-cultural festivals, essay competitions, drama competitions, rallies on various themes, NSS programmes and many more sponsored by the State Government, Central Government and other statutory bodies and the Institute authority. NSS or NCC is a compulsory subject for all students in the first year.

IIIT Agartala is currently operating from the NIT Agartala campus on a temporary basis, and it is unlikely to change for at least the next five years. Despite being only two years old, students have already enjoyed and benefited from having NIT Agartala as their mentor, being a well-established and reputable institute.The students of IIIT Agartala have established exciting clubs in addition to participating in various clubs of NIT Agartala. At present IIIT Agartala is temporarily functioning from NIT Agartala campus and it is offering BTech Computer Science and Engineering Program. IIIT Agartala is an institution of National Importance under MHRD - Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode and at present NIT Agartala is its mentor institute. Based on the previous year analysis, General category candidates require 95-97 percentile in JEE Mains for NIT. OBC/ EWS candidates require 85-90 percentile while SC/ ST candidates require 65-70 percentile in JEE Mains for NITs.
