IILM University, Gurugram aims to provide the best to its students.

There are fashion labs with sewing machines, draping mannequins, and fabric libraries.

Product design labs have 3D printers, laser cutters, wood/metal tools.

Mac labs are stacked with Adobe Suite, CAD, and design software.

There's even a photography studio with proper lighting setups

Here students don't just“learn” about tools, they actually get to use them regularly.

Yes, absolutely!

One of the plus points about IILM University, Gurugram is its mix of design + business schools on the same campus.

This enables design students to take electives in marketing, entrepreneurship, or digital strategy.

A lot of design students actually end up starting small businesses—like fashion brands, art pages, or product ventures—because the ecosystem at IILM supports both creativity and business sense.

The design courses at IILM University, Gurugram are not just boxed into just “fashion” or “graphic.”

First year is like a sampler platter - students do a bit of everything: sketching, product design, communication design, fashion, interiors, digital tools. After that, students can specialize in what they find most interesting.

So if you came in thinking you only want fashion, you might discover you're more inclined to visual communication or product design.

This flexibility helps students find their calling and figuring out the area best suited for them.

A typical BBA class mixes lectures with case studies and group discussions and sometimes end with quizzes on Kahoot!

For example, in Marketing, instead of just reading Philip Kotler, students actually create campaigns for real or mock brands.

You'll be surprised how often professors push us to apply things, not just memorize them.

While sharing a hostel room at IILM University, maintaining personal space comes down to clear communication, mutual respect, and setting healthy boundaries. Students usually discuss and agree on routines for study, rest, and leisure, ensuring noise levels are kept in check. Simple steps like keeping belongings organized, respecting each other's privacy, and asking before using shared items help avoid misunderstandings. Many also set up personal corners or storage spaces to keep things separate, which fosters both comfort and harmony.
