Hello,
Both the career options are excellent. It totally depends on your area of interest. Everyone want to become either IAS officers of CEO, MD, CMO, CFO etc as both offer high quality life.

Hello Aman,
The candidate must hold a Bachelors degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category, this is relaxed to 45%. The candidate may possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

This might not affect while placements because that time they'll put more emphasize on your post-graduation marks. But yes, this might affect your admission for MBA. You can still get into IIM's if you score decent percentile and do well in GDPI. Your graduation marks might be a bit problem but yes not all the IIM's give as such importance to graduation marks. Try to score above 99 percentiles in CAT and do very well in your GDPI for getting into IIM's.

To get into any of the IIMs, you need to score a minimum of 90 percentile in CAT. All the best.

IIMs are known for generic MBA degree. However, some IIMs based on faculty and past placement records are branded with a management function. IIM Ahmedabad is known for consulting. IIM Kolkata for Finance. IIM Lucknow is best known for Marketing. XLRI is best for MBA HR in India.

You need to score above 80 percent in graduation and 98 percentile in CAT exam to get an admission call from any of the IIMs.

Dear,
Your past percentage doesn't matter. but you must have above 50% in your graduation and a score above 98% in CAT to get admission in IIMs.
