What I liked was that the preparation didn't start only when placements came around. We were getting small bits of training throughout the course, so it never felt rushed.

Things that really helped were:

  • Mock interviews to practice before the real ones.

  • Communication and personality development sessions.

  • Resume-building guidance.

  • Group discussions and presentations.

  • Guest sessions with industry professionals.

  • Internship opportunities to get some real work exposure.

By the time placement season started, interviews didn't feel as scary because we'd already practiced so much. I felt much more confident compared to when I first joined, and that st

If I were in your position, I wouldn't wait too much or get stressed about the scores. You already have 2 years of work experience, which is a good advantage and adds value to your profile.

My suggestion would be to apply to colleges that accept MAT scores while also waiting for your CMAT result. That way, you keep your options open and don't lose time.

Personally, I would suggest GIBS Bangalore. What I liked about GIBS is that the college looks at the overall profile of a student and not just one exam score. Along with academics, there is a strong focus on internships, industry exposure, live projects, placement training, and skill deve

Many well known MBA institutes accept MAT, CMAT, and XAT scores, but the right choice depends on factors such as curriculum, industry exposure, faculty, and placement outcomes. LPU is one option that accepts national level entrance scores and offers an industry oriented MBA with practical learning, live projects, internships, and skill focused training. While comparing institutes, it is useful to look beyond rankings and focus on career support, corporate exposure, and long term learning opportunities.

Validity of CMAT score is one year in most of the colleges. There are a very few and Tier 3 colleges that may accept CMAT score from previous years. So, if they wish to drop a year, they should appear for the exam again in the next session.

While CMAT is the primary route, RGPV may occasionally admit based on merit in graduation if seats remain vacant after all CMAT-qualified candidates are placed through College Level Counselling.

CMAT total marks is 400. It is usually considered that scoring 270 to 300 marks can convert into good percentile, about 99 percentile. Around 200 marks can get you 90 percentile which is also good if you are targeting private colleges.
