Great determination and Self Belief. You shall join classes like TIME,CPLC, IMS, CATKING. Put 10hours a day daily and give basic mock exams for weekends. After 6months you may start giving full fledged mock test on entire syllabus, and rectify your mistakes and focus on your weaknesses. Cheers.

Hi Avinash,
In order to seek admission in an IIM one has to appear for an entrance exam, CAT. Common Admission Test (CAT) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). CAT scores are used for admission to various management courses across the country. Well the best coaching institutes to prepare for CAT are:
Career Launcher
T.I.M.E.
IMS Learning Resources Pvt Ltd
MBAGuru
For more details on CAT, please check the following link:

Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.

Hi,
If you have absolutely no idea about the exam and process,I suggest you join a coaching Institute. There are many like T.I.M.E., Career Launcher and IMS. Study hard and get a good score.
Also, remember that CAT score is not the only thing that can get you an admission into an IIM. Your profile also matters a lot. You can find your chances here at https://www.shiksha.com/mba/resources/iim-call-predictor

CAT does not provide percentages and all shortlists are announced on percentile. To get into established IIMs you will have to secure atleast 98.5 percentile. Hence do as good in CAT as you can.

Dear Mayank,
For Admission in IIM's one must need to score atleast 90% for any of IIM"S and for best one's above 95% is required.
If you manage to then considering your past scores you will make it.
All the very best

Hi
IIMs dont offer MBA. They offer PGDM/PGP/PGPX etc. The difference between any PGPs (PGDM, PGDBM etc.) and an MBA is:
MBA/MMS is offered by 'Universities' or 'Colleges that are affiliated to Universities' or Central Body directly under the Indian Govt while PGDM/PGP is offered by individual colleges and IIM's.Fees is high in case of PGDM/PGP as compared to MMS/MBA.
PGDM is much more flexible in terms of syllabus as syllabus is not bounded by a particular university.
Ideally PGDM program is residential while MBA is not.
PGDM at IIMs are as globally best as MBA abroad at a lesser cost.

Yes, in the history of IIM not one student has dropped because of financial reasons. There are sufficient number of scholarships available including special need based scholarship. Also financing is not at all an issue as IIMs make sure that you have access to bank loan with minimum paperwork and minimum interest rates.

Hi Krishnakamal, Yes academic percentage 10th, 12th and graduation plays a role in your selection for IIM. The weight age that they give for academic scores is different for different colleges.
